On a Dumpling Roll...

....after last weekend's dumpling feast, I spent this past Sunday evening even making more dumplings...our freezer is now full of dumplings and I am officially obsessed.

This time I bought round wrappers and folded them in the traditional crinkly shape as opposed to the nurse cap shape from last week. Monsieur P got a kick out of all the different possible dumpling shapes, hehee.

I used the same recipe, but tripled the amount of ginger this time. We had lots of ginger in the fridge and wanted to use it up before it got too old. Here's my setup...

...and the final product!

I'm working from home today and decided to steam-fry the leftovers from last week's batch. I didn't do a good job of making sure each piece didn't stick together when freezing them, so ended up with eight leftover pieces that were totally stuck together. Oh well, I fried it all the same. It was like one gigantic dumpling, super crispy. Added on even more minced ginger and ponzu sauce. Delicious!

P.S.
Is the weather today awesome or what? It was pouring rain for most of early afternoon...exactly what we needed after a week of 100F + weather! Hooray for the rain!!!
