Dinner: Northern Spy Food Co.

Am cleaning out my photo files this week and though I'd post these shots from Northern Spy Food Co. a few weeks back. A Thursday night dinner with Celia.

I remember this particular meal quite well...I wasn't that hungry but everything on the menu (especially the specials) sounded so awesome...things got out of control and we had to say yes, yes, yes, oh please, to every dish suggested ;)
There were Fried Chicken Livers to begin...
...along with Pickled Eggs, house aioli...
...and because we all could use just more greens in our lives (at least I sure can!), we did a Kale Salad, Clothbound Cheddar, Kabocha Squash, Almonds, Lemon Dressing, and Pecorino.
Northern Spy had just gotten their pasta machine that morning, and this was their first pasta special: Tagliatelle Pasta, Egg, Roasted Mushrooms. Loved it!
Sides of Roasted Potatoes, Dijon Mustard, Garlic, Rosemary...
...to go with the Pork Fleisher's Pastured Pork Loin. This dish came with Smashed Potatoes and Onions (which we enjoyed more than the side of mustard roasted potatoes).
And of course, dessert. What silly fool would pass on dessert? ;) That's the Northern Spy Apple Pie for you. With a side of Almond Semifreddo.
