BBQ Chicken with Shann
Shann and I spent the other evening hunched over my computer over at Tea Spot on Macdougal Street. She was teaching me how to make a WESBITE! html and css and all that fancy stuff! It was pretty exciting/intimidating, but I feel a lot smarter now, heheh. Thanks Shann!
P.S.
Shann just redesigned her site, so be sure to check it out! She's a graphic design wiz ^_^

After Tea Spot we walked in the direction of home, stopping in at BBQ Chicken on St Marks for a late dinner. We split the half-chicken family pack which comes two biscuits and one large side. This olive oil fried chicken is my FAVOURITE fried chicken. Ever. Better than Redhead, better than Blue Ribbon. 'BBQ' stands for 'Best of Best Quality'. And I totally agree. Super crispy skin (even if you let it sit out for an hour or two...will not get soggy!) and lots of juicy innards. Nomnom.
These are the biscuits. Shann said they were too salty, but I liked them! So I ate mine and half of hers. They do err on the dry side, and I wish they would include a few pats of butter on the side. But this is a chicken place. So as long as they do the chicken (and waffle fries) right, I have no complaints.
We always get the waffle fries for our side orders. Fried chicken must always be paired with waffle fries at BBQ! Be careful when you eat. Everything is consistently served hotter than expected, so I never fail to burn the roof of my mouth. And then drink an excessive serving of diet Coke immediately following the meal. It's tradition.
We ate at one of the few tables they have outside on St Marks and watched the Saturday night crowd parade on by. It was terrific fun to people watch while stuffing our faces with my favourite fried chicken in the universe.
Happy Sunday! ^_^
