NYC: 124 Thompson Street

I just got this new listing last week. On the corner of Thompson and Prince Street. Right smack in the center of Soho.

It's a bit of a hike - 5 flights up! But once you get there...plenty of light streaming into a small, utterly peaceful place.

Renovation needed! Gut renovation. Literally, an opportunity to design your own space from scratch. And did I tell you the price? $375,000! Where else can you find a 1-bedroom this price in Soho?

Email if me you or you know anyone who's interested. Or better yet, send them to my Open House this Sunday (11/14) from 12-1:30pm. See you then!

Signs of Construction

This is where I've been spending most of my time this past week.
This soon to be home is a family project we've been working on for long, long time. Usually we build in central locations, this is the first project that is literally all alone. It's kind of creepy, kind of cool. And a lot more complicated!
My parents like to take on these projects - build crazy awesome homes for fun. The whole family gets into the project...it's super exciting when everyone in the family works in some facet of real estate, whether it be on the development, sales, contracting, or architectural side.
This is why my life is perpetually in boxes. I think I've moved at least a dozen times, all around the east side of Oahu.
The home has been taking a particularly long time...but hopefully that just means it will be amazing when finished!
Fingers crossed ^_^

Merry Christmas tomorrow! :)

652 Broadway

Today: not on the subject of food...but rather, real estate ^_^
A few posts back I mentioned my new listing at 652 Broadway (between Bleecker and Bond Street). It just came on the market for $1,595,000, and we've already received offers! I wanted to share some photos shot by Diana.
I'm so very, VERY excited about this listing, and you would be too if you saw this place. The possibilities for this loft are endless. 1600 square feet of open space, you can easily turn this into a 3-bed, 2-bath apartment.
It's a circa 1900s building, landmarked, with only 17 units. My particular listing can be accessed through the common building elevator but also has its' own private cargo elevator. Gorgeous. East and North exposures (though you can easily open up the South walls for windows).
Common roof deck, private basement storage, and bike storage. Concrete floors (super quiet), and not a single load bearing beam though the center of the apartment :)
If you, or if you know anyone who may be interested, shoot me an email at: kathy.chan@elliman.com, or stop by my Open House this Sunday (12/13) from 1-3pm.

Happy Thursday!
