When the weather starts to get warmer/consistent, you can bet I'll celebrate more impromptu picnic days, bike rides and all. On Monday - the only warm day this week thus far, Zubair and I went to DiPalo's for a few ingredients: mozzarella (they were out of burrata), prosciutto, and pesto. We biked back, assembled sandwiches on an Italian hero loaf, and then dashed off to the park before the sun could run away.
Nothing like stealing away an afternoon, especially a Monday one. Mental notes for the next impromptu picnic -> must have burrata. And roasted red peppers. And a bottle of prosecco. And homemade dark chocolate brownies with walnuts for dessert!
The sandwiches were followed with warm cappuccinos from the nearby Amy's Bread. Aside from a minor mishap, aka, accidently locking us out of his apartment...I'd say the day was pretty swell ^_^
